Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making Skillselion usable by everyone, what we've done, and how to reach us if something gets in your way. Last reviewed June 9, 2026.
We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA
Skillselion is committed to making its content accessible to everyone, including people who use assistive technologies. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the internationally recognised standard referenced by accessibility law across major jurisdictions.
Accessibility built into the site
- Keyboard operable - you can browse, filter, vote and use the menus without a mouse, and the focused element is always visible.
- Labelled forms with clear errors - inputs have labels and errors are announced, not signalled by colour alone.
- Readable contrast - text and interface colours are chosen to meet the AA contrast ratio in both light and dark themes.
- Meaningful alt text - informative images carry text alternatives; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
- An accessible cookie banner - the consent banner is keyboard-reachable, labelled, and does not trap focus.
- Semantic structure - headings, landmarks and lists are used so screen readers can navigate each page.
Where we're still improving
We test with automated tools and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks, but some areas may not yet be fully conformant - in particular, a few third-party embeds (such as video and tweet cards in the Learn and Updates sections) are outside our direct control. We are working to improve or replace these, and we re-review the site as we ship changes.
