qiaomu-opencli-usage is a Claude Code skill that teaches coding agents to run OpenCLI commands across 79+ adapters for websites, Electron desktop apps, and public APIs with Chrome login reuse.

About

qiaomu-opencli-usage is a Claude Code skill (version 1.6.9, upstream jackwener/opencli) for running OpenCLI commands against websites like Bilibili, Twitter, Reddit, and Xiaohongshu, desktop apps like Cursor and Notion, and public APIs including HackerNews and arXiv. OpenCLI turns any website or Electron app into a CLI command coding agents can call, reusing Chrome login via CDP with zero-risk AI-powered discovery. The skill covers npm global install, command reference, and output formats for 79+ adapters. Developers and agents reach for qiaomu-opencli-usage when automating browser-backed workflows without writing site-specific integration code for each platform.

  • 79+ ready adapters for sites including Bilibili, Twitter, Reddit, Xiaohongshu, GitHub, YouTube, HackerNews and arXiv
  • Reuses your existing Chrome login sessions with zero risk of credential sharing
  • Works with both browser-based targets (via Chrome extension bridge) and public APIs
  • Auto-closes temporary tabs after execution
  • Supports desktop apps such as Cursor and Notion

How do you expose websites as CLI commands for AI agents?

Turn any website, Electron desktop app, or public API into a reusable CLI command that their coding agents can call with zero custom integration work.

Who is it for?

Developers wiring coding agents to browser-backed CLIs who need 79+ prebuilt adapters instead of custom per-site automation scripts.

Skip if: Headless scraping at scale without Chrome or teams that only need one fixed REST API with no browser session requirements.

When should I use this skill?

User wants OpenCLI commands for websites, Electron apps, Twitter, Reddit, Bilibili, or agent-callable CLI automation with Chrome login reuse.

What you get

Working OpenCLI commands, adapter output parsing, and Chrome-session-backed automation across 79+ site and API adapters

  • OpenCLI command invocations
  • parsed adapter output
  • agent-callable CLI recipes

OpenCLI Usage Guide

Make any website or Electron App your CLI. Reuse Chrome login, zero risk, AI-powered discovery.

Install & Run

# npm global install (recommended)
npm install -g @jackwener/opencli
opencli <command>

# Or from source
cd ~/code/opencli && npm install
npx tsx src/main.ts <command>

# Update to latest
npm update -g @jackwener/opencli

Prerequisites

Browser commands require: 1. Chrome browser running (logged into target sites) 2. opencli Browser Bridge Chrome extension installed (load extension/ as unpacked in chrome://extensions) 3. No further setup needed — the daemon auto-starts on first browser command

Note: You must be logged into the target website in Chrome before running commands. Tabs opened during command execution are auto-closed afterwards.

Public API commands (hackernews, v2ex) need no browser.

External CLI (passthrough)

OpenCLI can discover, auto-install, and passthrough commands to external CLI tools. Use opencli install <name> to auto-install, or opencli register <name> to register a local CLI.

Management

opencli list [-f json|yaml] # List all commands
opencli validate [site] # Validate adapter definitions
opencli doctor # Diagnose browser bridge
opencli explore <url> # AI-powered API discovery
opencli record <url> # Record API calls manually

All commands support: --format / -f with table json yaml md csv

Self-Repair

If a command fails due to a site change (selector, API, or response schema), automatically fix the adapter and retry instead of reporting failure. Re-run the command with OPENCLI_DIAGNOSTIC=1 to get structured diagnostic context, then fix the adapter file at RepairContext.adapter.sourcePath and retry. Max 3 repair rounds. See the opencli-autofix skill for the full workflow.

How it compares

Use qiaomu-opencli-usage when agents need many site CLIs quickly; build custom MCP tools when you require deep typed API contracts for one service only.

FAQ

How many adapters does qiaomu-opencli-usage cover?

qiaomu-opencli-usage documents installation, commands, and output formats for 79+ OpenCLI adapters spanning websites (Bilibili, Twitter, Reddit), Electron apps (Cursor, Notion), and APIs like HackerNews and arXiv.

How does OpenCLI handle website authentication?

OpenCLI reuses an existing Chrome browser login through CDP (Chrome DevTools Protocol), so agents call CLI commands without storing separate credentials—reducing integration risk for social and desktop-app targets.
