Recommended Skills
Journey fit
The README is pre-launch distribution material—waitlist, positioning, and planned browser support—rather than executable build steps in the repo today. Distribution matches coming-soon positioning, serp.ly waitlist CTA, and multi-browser launch narrative without a shipped artifact yet.
How it compares
Pre-launch product README skill—not a released integration or MCP tool you can run end-to-end now.

# Kick Clip Downloader — Coming Soon (Browser Extension) > Download Kick clips, VODs, and stream recordings as MP4 files directly from your browser. **This extension is currently in development and has not been released yet.** Kick Clip Downloader is an upcoming browser extension that will provide a simple, in-browser method for saving video content from the Kick streaming platform. When a streamer's content is removed or a VOD expires, that footage is gone unless you captured it beforehand. Screen recording is an option, but it ties up your machine in real time and often produces oversized files with inconsistent quality. Kick Clip Downloader is being designed to intercept the actual video stream data that the browser already receives during playback. Instead of re-encoding a screen capture, the extension will extract the source segments and assemble them into a clean MP4 file at the original broadcast quality. The entire process happens inside the browser tab, so there is nothing extra to install or configure on your system. ## Planned Features - One-click clip downloading from any Kick clip page - Full VOD and stream recording export at original quality - Automatic detection of video sources when visiting Kick content pages - Resolution selection when multiple quality levels are available from the stream - Batch downloading support for saving multiple clips from a single channel - Filename formatting using streamer name, date, and clip title - Progress indicator showing download status and estimated completion - Cross-browser compatibility targeting Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Firefox ## How It Will Work 1. Install the extension from your browser's extension store once it is released. 2. Navigate to any Kick channel, clip page, or VOD archive in your browser. 3. The extension icon will indicate when downloadable video content is detected. 4. Click the extension popup to view available video sources on the current page. 5. Select the clip, VOD, or recording segment you want to save. 6. Choose your preferred resolution if the stream offers multiple quality options. 7. Click downl
