About
Confidence Check is a Superclaude Framework agent skill that forces a structured readiness assessment before any implementation work begins. developers install it when they have seen agents charge ahead with duplicate features, wrong libraries, or fixes that miss root cause. The skill defines a score from 0.0 to 1.0 across five equal checks: confirming no duplicate implementations exist in the repo, verifying architecture compliance with existing planning docs and stack choices, reviewing official documentation, finding working open-source references, and validating that the true root cause is identified. Implementation must not proceed until confidence reaches ninety percent or higher. Reported test results from 2025-10-21 show eight of eight cases passing with perfect precision and recall on the gate. It pairs naturally with spec and planning skills: run it after you have a task description but before the agent writes production code. The skill expects the agent to use repository search tools and project markdown; it does not replace human judgment on product direction.

Confidence Assessment Criteria
Calculate confidence score (0.0 - 1.0) based on 5 checks:
1. No Duplicate Implementations? (25%)
