Overview

This plugin provides comprehensive tooling for building AI agents using the Claude Agent SDK. It includes 15 commands (2 for initialization, 13 for features, 1 orchestrator) plus 5 specialized agents for setup, feature implementation, integration, and validation.

Commands

Project Initialization

/claude-agent-sdk:new-app [project-name]

Create and setup a new Claude Agent SDK application OR integrate into an existing project.

Two Modes:

1. New Standalone App - Creates a fresh project directory with Claude Agent SDK
2. Integrate into Existing Project - Adds Claude Agent SDK as a service to your current project

New App Features:

• Interactive project setup with language selection
• Latest SDK version installation
• Starter code generation with best practices
• Automatic project validation
• Security defaults (.env.example, .gitignore)

Integration Mode Features:

• Automatic project analysis (detects language, framework, structure)
• Matches existing code patterns (functional vs class-based)
• Creates service module at detected services directory
• Creates route handlers at detected routes directory
• Provides manual wiring instructions (non-destructive)

Integration Mode Example:

Creates and initializes new Claude Agent SDK projects with proper structure, dependencies, and starter code. Handles both TypeScript and Python project setup.

project-integrator

Analyzes existing projects and integrates Claude Agent SDK as a service that follows the project's existing patterns and conventions.

Responsibilities:

• Project structure analysis (detect framework, services, routes)
• Code pattern detection (functional vs class-based)
• Template selection based on framework
• Service and route generation matching existing style
• Non-destructive integration (additive only)
• Manual wiring instructions

Supported Detection:

• Languages: TypeScript, Python

• Patterns: Functional services, Class-based services, Barrel exports

claude-agent-features

Implements SDK features in existing applications following official documentation patterns. Supports all SDK capabilities including streaming, sessions, MCP, tools, subagents, and more.

Architecture

Command Pattern

All add-* commands follow Pattern 2 (Single Agent) with 6 phases:

1. Discovery: Gather context and load documentation
2. Analysis: Understand current implementation
3. Planning: Design feature integration
4. Implementation: Invoke claude-agent-features agent
5. Review: Invoke appropriate verifier agent
6. Summary: Document changes and usage
