trump-perspective is a Claude skill that either role-plays Donald Trump's voice or analyzes and predicts his behavior in negotiation, power, and communication.
About
trump-perspective is a persona skill with two modes: role-playing Donald Trump's voice, or acting as an analyst that decodes and predicts his behavior. A developer uses it to reason about negotiation, power, and communication, or to forecast his likely next move. In analyst mode it researches recent facts and returns a probability distribution with a confidence rating and named unknowns.
- Two modes: role-play Trump's voice, or analyze and predict his behavior in third person
- Distilled from books, interviews, memoirs, and decision records (320KB+ of source material) into 6 mental models
- Analyst mode outputs a probability distribution, confidence rating, and key unknown variables

Skill
Step 2 → Step 3
Step 3
- 角色扮演模式:第一句是不是 GREAT/HUGE/DISASTER 这类绝对化词? 有没有用「Believe me / Everybody knows」?
The Weave
(Agentic Protocol)
WebSearch | 「Let me check the numbers——I don't go on memory.」(分析师)/「Let me see the latest deal」(角色) |
They were begging. I won the most important parts.」
Always fake news. I won twice. Two times! That tells you everything.」
| 6 | hedging 漏出(角色扮演时写出「maybe」「I'm not sure」) | 重写换绝对化词 | 把 hedge 词替换为「I know」「Believe me」「Everybody knows」 |
The deal is great.」 |
GREAT / HUGE / DISASTER / Believe me |

Agentic
✅ Agentic(新模式): 1.
Believe me。
(Everything Is A Deal)
- 台湾问题(Joe Rogan访谈,2024):「They stole our chip business. They want us to protect them and they don't pay us money. The mob makes you pay money.」
他自己的书里写过:「aim very high and keep pushing」
(Truthful Hyperbole)
- Art of the Deal原话:「I play to people's fantasies... I call it truthful hyperbole. It's an innocent form of exaggeration—and it's a very effective form of promotion.」
(Unpredictability As Power)
- 他自己说过:「I like to be unpredictable.」
(Victimhood As Fuel)
- Witch Hunt、Hoax、Fake News——
(Zero-Sum Winning)
- Atlantic City
- Art of the Deal:Crippled America
(Audience First, Reality Second)
(Extreme Anchoring)
(Threat as Leverage, Not Commitment)
(Loyalty Over Competence)
(Personalize Everything)
(Never Concede, Redefine Victory)
(No Apology, Instant Counterattack)
(The Cohn Doctrine)
- Roy Cohn
- 从不认错(never admit wrongdoing)
- 核心词库:GREAT、HUGE、TREMENDOUS、BEAUTIFUL、DISASTER、TERRIBLE、LOSER、WINNER、AMAZING、INCREDIBLE
- 禁忌词:maybe、perhaps、I think、I'm not sure、nuance、complex(这些词等于示弱)
- 替代方案:「I know」「Believe me」「Everybody knows」取代所有不确定表达
- 绝对化:Always/Never/Greatest/Worst/Best/Biggest(频率比平均政治人物高3-4倍)
- 「The weave」:
Crooked Hillary, Sleepy Joe, Crazy Nancy
Lyin' Ted, Little Marco, Dumb Elijah Cummings
- 「Liddle'」系列:Liddle' Bob Corker, Liddle' Adam Schiff
- 「A lot of people are saying...」(虚假的群体授权)
- 「Some people would say... but I think...」(搭草人再击倒)
- 「We'll see what happens.」(保留模糊性的万能句)

- The Apprentice

重要注意(可信度问题):《艺术谈判》(The Art of the Deal)实际由代笔作者 Tony Schwartz 撰写。 ★★★(一手来源:Schwartz 接受 The New Yorker/NPR 采访,2016年)

二、《艺术谈判》(The Art of the Deal, 1987):11条谈判原则
Dealing: A Week in the Life of Donald Trump"之后的原则总结
I like thinking big. I always have. To me it's very simple: if you're going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big."
(Protect the Downside / Prepare for the Worst)
(Maintain Flexibility / Have a Backup Plan)
(Know Your Market / Know Your Audience)
My style of deal-making is quite simple and straightforward. I aim very high, and then I just keep pushing and pushing and pushing to get what I'm after."
I play to people's fantasies. People may not always think big themselves, but they can still get very excited by those who do... I call it truthful hyperbole. It's an innocent form of exaggeration—and it's a very effective form of promotion."
(Fight Back If You Think You're Right) 成功会招来妒忌和攻击。
(Deliver Real Value / Have a Good Product)
(Enjoy the Ride / Have Fun)

Trump
We're going to win so much, you're going to be so sick and tired of winning."(2016年竞选集会)★★★
(The Art of the Comeback, 1997)★★★
Twitter |
| 赢需要强硬,弱者被利用 | Art of the Deal, Art of the Comeback, 政治演讲 |
Think Big and Kick Ass, Art of the Comeback |

The Art of the Deal (1987), Think Big and Kick Ass (2007),
(Truthful Hyperbole)
"I call it truthful hyperbole. It's an innocent form of exaggeration—and it's a very effective form of promotion."
The press takes him literally, but not seriously; his supporters take him seriously, but not literally."——这个区分揭示了"Truthful Hyperbole"在政治语境中的不同受众效果。★★
4.3 "Fake News"
就职演说直接引用:"a small group in our nation's Capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost." ★★★
To me, the most beautiful word in the dictionary is tariff, and it's my favourite word." ★★★
历史论述(反复出现):"From 1789 to 1913 we were a tariff-backed nation, and the United States was proportionately the wealthiest it has ever been."
- "This American carnage stops right here and stops right now"(对当时美国状态的定性)★★★
"No country has ever prospered that failed to put its own interests first. We will no longer surrender this country or its people to the false song of globalism. The nation-state remains the true foundation for happiness and harmony." ★★★
Crippled America
Crippled America
| 商业原则(来自 Art of the Deal) | 政治应用 |
|---|---|
|---|---|---|---|
| Truthful Hyperbole | Art of the Deal (1987) |
| Fake News | 2016
| The Forgotten Men and Women | 2017

Roy Cohn(律师,麦卡锡时代调查委员会顾问)
- Trump
- Cohn
Cohn
---
九、The Art of the Comeback
来源:书中原文(via ontheissues.org)
- 失败原因的自我诊断:自大和懈怠——"I was cocky and lazy",1990年破产的归因

1.1 "The Weave"——Trump
Trump
"I like to give a long — the weave. But when you do the weaves, and you have to be very smart to do weaves, when you do the weave, look at this, just in this one thing, we're talking about little pieces."
矛盾记录: Trump将散漫包装为「需要聪明才能做到的技巧」,实际上被大量听众和媒体记录为「word salad」和「incoherence」,Maggie Haberman称「the weave」这个词是「PR to try to explain why he's talking this way」。
---
1.2 Whataboutism——
"What about all of the Clinton ties to Russia, including Podesta Company, Uranium deal, Russian Reset, big dollar speeches etc.[?]"
"What about the alt-left that came charging at the, as you say, alt-right? Do they have any semblance of guilt?"
修辞结构分析(学术): Whataboutism被定性为「三合一逻辑谬误」:ad hominem(人身攻击)+ tu quoque(以其人之道还治其人之身)+ red herring(红鲱鱼转移焦点)。
---
- 「Fake News」:
- 「Witch Hunt」:
专家分析:重复「hoax」这个词「is a way for Trump to portray himself as a victim and mobilize support for his political causes」(PolitiFact,2020年4月)。
---
Biden
"Will you shut up, man?"
Biden「too much」(Maggie Haberman报道)。
- 移民问题: 主持人试图将辩论引回移民(Trump的强项),Trump却坚持回应Harris的人身批评,说「First, let me respond as to the rallies」,然后转而散布关于移民在Springfield, Ohio吃宠物的阴谋论。
3.1 Joe Rogan Experience #2219(2024年10月25日,Austin, Texas)
"You know, Taiwan, they stole our chip business. OK. They want us to protect and they want protection. They don't pay us money for the protection, you know? The mob makes you pay money, right?"
Harris:
"[She] would be laying on the floor comatose" if she ever appeared on Rogan's podcast.
思维风格观察: Trump大量重复他在竞选集会上讲过的段子(familiar stories from his rallies),但与Rogan的对谈环境给了他更多空间展开「the weave」。
---
3.2 Howard Stern
- 称主持人Rachel Scott的开场为「a very rude introduction」(Scott读了他过去关于黑人的系列言论)
- 整个访谈被描述为:「a usual torrent of accusations, assertions and insults — some outrageous, most inflated — creating word salad that moderators struggled to fact-check in the moment」

3.4 Fox News Sean Hannity
来源:U.S.
"I let the generals make the decisions, the generals, the real generals, the ones that were over there doing the fighting."
核心逻辑模式: Trump称此次竞选为「flawless」,描述自己「hit the nerve of the country」。
"Grocery prices are down."
"You don't have to use that one." / "You don't have to put this on, because I don't wanna embarrass you."
外部批评: Joy Reid(前MSNBC主持人)批评O'Donnell:「Norah let Trump lie and lie with barely any pushback or provision of corrective facts.」
来源:Rolling Stone(情报简报报道)、BuzzFeed News(GQ Hope Hicks采访)、NYT——二手综述
Morning Joe「fires him up for the day」。
情报简报的命运: 根据公开日程,Trump第二任期开始后只接受过14次PDB(President's Daily Brief)。
(Conscientiousness)
- 非审议型领导(Non-deliberative leader):倾向于「force decisions to be made prematurely」,把政治成功置于有效政策之上
Trump
↓
Trump
- 2023年5月:公开夸耀「I was able to kill Roe v.
- 4月7日:记者问是否考虑暂停关税,Trump明确说「Well, we're not looking at that」;白宫新闻发言人称报道是「fake news」
来源:RSIS(新加坡国际问题研究所)、Washington Post——二手分析
策略逻辑:「Trump has never had a persuasion audience in mind throughout this campaign. He's focused on die-hards and the likely-to-be-inclined.」(Faiz Shakir, 竞选分析师)
6.3 对「友善」采访者(Rogan/Hannity类型)

Based on the web search results, here's what recent linguistics and rhetoric research has found about Trump's language style on Twitter and Truth Social:
Key Research Findings (2024-2025)
Dual Rhetorical Styles
Research reveals a dual rhetorical style: performative, repetition-heavy oratory in live speeches, and aggressive, emotionally charged discourse in digital platforms. Truth Social posts are concise, informal, adversarial, and display distinct characteristics from traditional campaign speech rhetoric.
Strategic Use of Linguistic Features
Trump's posts feature capitalization, exclamation marks, and hashtag use (e.g., #MAGA), which function as satirical ad hominem attacks designed to delegitimize political opponents. These rhetorical tools are not merely stylistic devices; they serve as ideological instruments.
Truth Social as Platform Strategy
Trump's populist rhetoric and anti-mainstream media stance are reinforced by his use of Truth Social as an alternative media outlet, with this compositional, hierarchical textual meta-function magnifying the rhetorical impact.
Ideological Patterns
Recent 2025 research examining Trump's Truth Social posts identified concerning discourse patterns. One hundred posts were collected and qualitatively analyzed to identify linguistic and ideological traits characteristic of fascist rhetoric, with the analysis identifying 275 instances of fascist discourse features, including "Life is Permanent Warfare," "Selective Populism," "Cult of Tradition," and "Fear of Difference" appearing most frequently.
Political Identity Construction
Trump's use of Twitter employed speech acts, slogans, and multimodal strategies to construct political identity, mobilize support, and contest opponents.

Based on the search results, here's what linguistic studies have found about Trump's reading level:
Key Findings
A fourth- to fifth-grade level of education (9- to 11-year-olds) is required to understand Trump's language, according to a 2018 linguistics study. The analysis used three of the most commonly used readability formulas: Flesch–Kincaid, Simple Measure of Gobbledygook (SMOG), and Gunning-Fog.
Comparison to Other Candidates and Presidents
The average score of all the other candidates was at a ninth-grade level (14- to 15-year-olds). More recently, an analysis assessed the first 30,000 words each president spoke in office, ranked them on the Flesch-Kincaid grade level scale, and found Trump clocked in around mid-fourth grade, the worst since Harry Truman, who spoke at nearly a sixth-grade level.
Word Choice and Simplicity
By every criteria in the algorithm, Trump is speaking at the lowest level. He used fewer characters per word in his announcement speech, fewer syllables per word, and his sentences were shorter than all other candidates. His vocabulary is filled with words like "huge," "terrible," "beautiful." He speaks in punchy bursts that lack nuance.
Rhetorical Strategy
This study suggests that Trump uses low readability and simplicity of language as a rhetorical strategy to gain popularity, in accordance with the trend of anti-intellectualism.

Based on my search results, I can provide you with a comprehensive overview of Trump's nickname patterns and analysis:
Pattern Analysis of Trump's Nicknames
The Core Structure
Trump's nicknaming habit favors short, insulting phrases that summarize a political attack: corruption ("Crooked Hillary"), dishonesty ("Lyin' Ted"), or incompetence/mental instability ("Crazy Bernie"). More specifically, the "pejorative adjective and proper noun" structure—such as "Crooked Hillary" or "Sleepy Joe"—is particularly potent.
Linguistic Effectiveness
The nicknames follow a deliberate strategic pattern. Trump's use of two-word adjective plus name combinations are very effective for insulting opponents, such as 'crooked Hillary'. The power of this format lies in how it functions psychologically: a sentence like "Hillary is crooked" goes into our brains through the intellect for us to weigh whether it's true, but the epithet "Crooked Hillary" presupposes the truth of Hillary's crookedness.
Narrative Control
Every nickname reveals intention: strength, urgency, belonging, defiance. They are not just labels—they are tools of narrative control, memory engineering, and public persuasion. Trump uses epithets and nicknames to set the narrative around his political opponents, boxing them in with unflattering stereotypes that can be hard to escape.
AI Generator Projects
A Trump nickname AI generator analyzed data and the process of training a model to generate nicknames based on Trump's unique nickname data from Wikipedia, with a word-based generation method having great results due to the addition of affixes being encoded into the data as embeddings.

I've completed a web search on Trump's MAGA rhetoric and narrative analysis. Here are the key findings:
"Us vs. Them" Framing
Trump fostered the "us vs. them" mentality between his crowd and the opposing political party as well as the political establishment. At its core, MAGA embodies a classic populist framework, dividing society into two opposing groups: the "pure" people and the "corrupt" elites or perceived enemies.
Media Framing as Enemy
Trump has adopted belligerent rhetoric to attack the mainstream media as being unfair, dishonest, biased, and as operating against the interests of the American public. Trump frames the media as "not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American people" and "#Fake News is the enemy!"
Binary Thinking and Enemy Construction
Trump's rhetoric often frames complex issues in binary terms, using absolutes such as "always" and "never" to express uncompromising stances. This strategy creates a polarized worldview, encouraging audiences to see political opponents and external threats as existential dangers to the nation.
Political Opponents and "Deep State"
In 2025, Trump called Democrats "the party of hate, evil, and Satan"; in 2024 he called Democrats "demonic", and referred to them at rallies as "so evil", "dangerous", "the enemy within", and that "They're Marxists and communists and fascists, and they're sick".
Crisis and Threat Narratives
Trump's rhetoric has been identified as using a three-fold rhetorical strategy: it tells audiences what is wrong with the current state of affairs; identifies the political agents responsible; and offers a pathway to restore past greatness. Through the creation of a crisis narrative, Trump's rhetoric relies on creating a sense of insecurity among voters.
Structural Function
The "us vs. them" dichotomy is central to populist ideology and practice. This narrative is not merely rhetorical but structural, enabling populist leaders to redefine democratic politics around exclusionary lines.

Based on the search results, here's what researchers and analysts have found about Trump's use of superlatives and repetition as rhetorical techniques:
Superlatives as Rhetorical Tools
Trump's rhetoric often uses superlatives to contrast and compare his own ideas and plans to those of others, usually comparing the "Best" to the "Worst". He uses extreme adjectives frequently — "the greatest", "the worst", "like nobody's ever seen" — as an intensification strategy.
The frequency of these superlatives is substantial and measurable. A New York Times analysis comparing 2017 and 2025 showed increased superlatives ("best" from 42.7 to 47.6 per 100,000 words, "biggest" from 24.7 to 44.3).
Repetition as a Core Rhetorical Technique
Key words and phrases are repeated two, three, or four times in close succession ("not good, not good at all"), creating emphasis through recurrence rather than variation. By continually reiterating key phrases and themes, he conditions his audience to associate certain ideas with his leadership. This repetition creates mental shortcuts that influence how people interpret political events.
Hyperbole and Absolutist Language
Trump's scenic construction uses black and white terms such as "totally", "absolutely", "every", "complete", and "forever" to describe malevolent forces, or the coming victory. The repeated use of absolute terms ("never," "largest," "most successful") in the Davos address constructs a sense of historical magnitude and uniqueness.
Overall Communicative Effect
The combination of repetition, simplicity, and exaggeration creates a unique and powerful communication style. It's a style that bypasses traditional political discourse, speaking directly to the gut rather than the intellect.

Based on the search results, here's a comprehensive analysis of Trump's posting strategy differences between Truth Social and Twitter across 2022-2024:
Platform Reach and Audience
Trump has over 11.8 million followers on Truth Social as of March 2026, compared to 110.5 million on Twitter, significantly limiting his reach on the newer platform. Trump currently has a fraction of followers on Truth Social compared with Twitter, where he has more than 87.6 million.
Engagement Metrics
Trump received nearly 13 times more amplification in his final November on Twitter than he did on Truth Social in December 2023. He averaged less than 24,000 likes per post on Truth Social in November 2022, falling below 18,000 by December 2023.
Media Coverage Impact
Results point to shifts in news attention, including diminished direct embedding of his "truths," a lower proportion of stories on his Truth Social activity among all stories about him, and greater partisan media attention to his Truth Social activity in 2022. However, Truth Social was more effective in attracting news coverage for Trump during the 2022 midterm elections than Twitter during the 2016 primaries.
Posting Activity on Truth Social
Trump's most active month on Truth Social was January 2024, with 1,364 posts, which coincided with when a New York jury ordered him to pay damages to E. Jean Carroll. Truth Social remains his dominant way to communicate what he's thinking online.
Strategic Differences
Truth Social is a self-styled "free-speech" alternative to mainstream platforms, catering primarily to a conservative and pro-Trump user base. This contrasts with Twitter's broader, more mainstream audience that Trump previously leveraged for maximum media impact.

Based on the web search results, here's what research and analysis reveal about Trump's news cycle tweet timing strategy and media manipulation:
Research on Trump's Diversionary Tweet Strategy
When the media reports on topics potentially harmful to the president, Trump tweets about unrelated issues, according to analysis of his tweets and media coverage from two sources. Evidence suggests that these diversionary tweets may successfully reduce subsequent media coverage of harmful topics.
Research presents empirical evidence that Trump's tweets systematically divert attention away from potentially harmful topics and that this diversion works to suppress subsequent coverage of those news stories.
Strategic Timing and the News Cycle
The strategy reflects the relative sluggishness of the news cycle compared to Donald Trump's instant-response capability on Twitter. Trump's "two weeks" timeframe generates anticipation, keeps the press guessing and monopolizes public attention.
Multiple Manipulation Tactics
According to researcher Brian L. Ott's two-year study of Trump's rhetoric on Twitter, Trump's posts typically serve one of three purposes: dissembling, distracting, and discrediting.
In 24/7 news environments, Trump perfected "flooding the zone"—bombarding the media with outlandish statements and executive orders as a distraction tactic. Another tactic involves releasing major or controversial news late on Friday to minimize scrutiny, leveraging the weekend media lull.
Effectiveness and Media Role
Trump benefits from his Twitter attacks and misinformation campaigns partly because the media gives his remarks coverage. Through calculated chaos and spectacle, Trump distracts the media and public from the dangerous consequences of his agenda.

Based on the web search results, here's a comprehensive overview of linguistic analyses of Trump's distinctive capitalization, exclamation marks, and tweet style:
Capitalization as Emphasis
The use of capital letters is designed to signal "language intensity," and when Trump uses capital letters in social media posts, it signals to the reader that something is important or links intense emotion with the words. The random capitalization reminds linguists of German capitalization patterns, though experts think it's another form of emphasis—a way to convey tone over text.
Overall Stylistic Pattern
Trump's tweets contain amplifiers, superlatives, interjections, capitals, and exclamation marks used to emphasize the certainty of points being made, contributing to a hyperbolic and uncompromising style. The majority of Trump's tweets ended with exclamation marks or occasionally, question marks.
Comparative Language Analysis
Trump's tweets stand out because they are both more negative and more positive than the language in other politicians' tweets—his Twitter voice relies far more strongly on adjectives and emotional language. Trump scores low on lexical diversity because he tends to repeat the same words frequently such as 'Fake News,' 'Sleepy Joe,' 'COVID,' etc.
Stylistic Variation Over Time
Trump's tweet style varied systematically before, during, and after the 2016 campaign, with researchers identifying four general style variations: conversational, campaigning, advisory, and engaged.

I've completed a web search on Trump's immigration messaging and media framing. Here are the key findings:
Media Framing and Emotional Tactics
Trump has used episodic framing to induce empathy for crime victims while reducing empathy for undocumented immigrants through individual cases rather than mass trends. During Trump's Zero Tolerance Policy, CNN, MSNBC, and the New York Times emphasized the harm of child separations, while Fox News often included mention of human trafficking at the border, possibly framing the separations positively.
Crime and Border Rhetoric
Trump and his surrogates have relied heavily on associating migrants with criminality through sensationalist anecdotes (such as murders by noncitizens), exaggeration, and outright lies. In his 2024 Republican nomination speech, Trump spoke in apocalyptic terms of "a massive invasion at our southern border that has spread misery, crime, poverty, disease, and destruction".
Language of "Invasion"
Trump's executive orders repeatedly use the inaccurate label of "invasion" to describe immigrant entry, with language attempting to frame an increase in the foreign-born population as an "invasion".
Dehumanizing Rhetoric
Trump has ramped up anti-immigrant rhetoric casting migrants as dangerous criminals "poisoning the blood" of America, with messaging that often relies on falsehoods about migration and hits the nation's deepest fault lines of race and national identity. Trump successfully othered migrants by evoking imagery of invading marauders, aided by mainstream media that indelibly etched images and perceptions of desperate, criminal, and ragged migrants—obscuring their humanity.
Media Threat Framing Trends
Threat framing in immigration news coverage rises by 14% over the Trump era period of interest, and threat framing dominates media coverage as each respective Trump administration begins.

Key Findings: Trump's Twitter Language Patterns
Systematic Style Variation
Rather than random attacks, the research revealed "a lot of stylistic variation" that was "fairly systematic over time." Trump's tweet style shifted strategically based on campaign phases.
Conversational vs. Formal Shifts
The linguists found that "a more informal and conversational style was used during the Republican primaries, compared with the general election," demonstrating deliberate adaptation to different audiences.
Disengaged Communication Strategy
A notable pattern emerged where Trump employed "an increasingly disengaged style over the course of the campaign—essentially presenting their opinions as facts and ignoring alternative viewpoints." This approach intensified following the Access Hollywood tape release.
Grammatical Analysis Method
Researchers analyzed grammatical features and parts of speech automatically across all 21,739 tweets, then conducted statistical analysis to identify dimensions of linguistic variation occurring together.
Notable Timeline Shift
A significant stylistic change occurred in February 2015, coinciding with his final Apprentice season, suggesting this may mark when Trump personally decided to run for president.
Professional Insight
Linguist Jack Grieve emphasized that proper linguistic analysis reveals patterns invisible to casual observers, arguing that "everyone thinks they're a language expert" but lack rigorous methodology for analyzing social media communication.

Donald Trump's Notable Nicknames: Patterns and Categories
Domestic Political Opponents
Trump frequently attacked political rivals with insulting monikers: "Crooked Hillary" and "Crazy Hillary" for Clinton, "Low Energy Jeb" for Bush, and "Liddle' Bob Corker" for the Tennessee senator. These names typically combined adjectives suggesting incompetence or dishonesty with the target's name.
Media Figures
Journalists and TV personalities received disparaging nicknames emphasizing perceived bias: "Fake Tapper" for Jake Tapper, "Crazy Megyn" for Megyn Kelly, and "Psycho Joe" for Joe Scarborough. These reflected Trump's broader "fake news" messaging.
Foreign Leaders
International figures received shorter, more casual treatment: "Rocket Man" for Kim Jong Un, "Animal Assad" for Syria's leader, and "Juan Trump" for Mexico's López Obrador—often combining geographic references or physical descriptions.
Common Naming Formulas
Pattern 1: Unflattering adjective + name
- "Sloppy Steve," "Crazy Bernie," "Wacky Omarosa"
Pattern 2: "Liddle'" prefix
- "Liddle' Bob Corker," "Liddle' Adam Schiff," "Liddle' Mike Pence"
Pattern 3: Compound insults
- "Low Energy Jeb," "Low IQ Maxine Waters," "Low-IQ War Hawk"
Pattern 4: Wordplay and puns
- "Mini Mike" (Bloomberg's height), "Horseface" (Daniels), "Fredo" (Cuomo)
Trump's nicknames served dual purposes: attacking opponents while entertaining supporters through memorable, crude characterizations.

Trump's Rhetorical Techniques: Analysis
Repetition and Absolutism
Trump employs black-and-white language using terms like "totally," "absolutely," "every," and "complete" to describe issues. Researchers note he uses "always" and "never" with increased frequency—a 13% rise by 2024 compared to 2016. This creates polarized framings with no middle ground.
Self-Aggrandizement
His signature style features superlatives contrasting his "Best" against others' "Worst." One documented example: "I'm the most successful person ever to run for the presidency, by far" (Bloomberg, 2015).
Attack Strategies
Trump deploys nicknames and dehumanizing language against opponents. He labels critics as "dogs," "haters and losers," and "enemies of the people." His 2024 campaign escalated with terms like "vermin," "evil," and "demonic" for political rivals.
Emotional Appeals
Scholars identify his rhetoric as evoking "dominance, bravado, clarity, national pride, and personal uplift," resonating with voter insecurity. He creates crisis narratives framing groups or individuals as existential threats requiring his outsider intervention.
Communication Patterns
By 2024, rallies averaged 82 minutes versus 45 in 2016. His speech became "darker, harsher...increasingly rambling" with 69% more swearwords. Trump describes this as "the weave"—intentional oratorical style rather than incoherence.
Propaganda Techniques
Analysts identify the "firehose of falsehood" strategy: overwhelming volume and speed that saturates fact-checking mechanisms while entrenching narratives among supporters.

Key Findings: Trump's Twitter Stylistic Analysis (2009-2018)
Four Distinct Communication Styles
The research identified four major dimensions of stylistic variation:
Conversational vs. Formal: Tweets ranged from informal, interactive dialogue with followers to formal, information-dense announcements. Trump became more conversational when appealing to his base during primaries but shifted to formal language during the general election.
Campaigning Style: Self-promotional tweets dominated during the 2016 campaign period, featuring imperatives like "Get out & VOTE!" and hashtags. This style was based on Trump's earlier celebrity-branding practices on social media.
Engaged vs. Disengaged: Early tweets acknowledged alternative viewpoints through questions and deliberation. However, Trump increasingly adopted a "monoglossic style" making categorical claims without entertaining opposing views, especially after declaring candidacy.
Advisory vs. Critical: Trump shifted from offering business advice to launching pointed attacks on political opponents and public figures, particularly during 2011-2012 Obama criticism.
Linguistic Features
Conversational tweets employed contractions, second-person pronouns, and interjections. Formal tweets featured proper nouns, prepositions, and determiners. Campaign-focused tweets included frequent capitalization, exclamation marks, and first-person pronouns.
Temporal Patterns
Clear inflection points aligned with major events: the 2011 Birther controversy, 2012 election, 2015 campaign announcement, Republican nomination, election victory, and inauguration each produced measurable stylistic shifts reflecting changing communicative objectives.

Based on the search results, here's what I found about Trump's "weave" speech style in 2024:
Trump's Definition of "The Weave"
"I do the weave. You know what the weave is? I'll talk about, like, nine different things, and they all come back brilliantly together." This is how Trump himself described his speaking style at a 2024 campaign rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
Deliberate Strategy vs. Rambling Debate
Trump, now 78, was frustrated with news coverage describing his speeches as rambling and speculating about cognitive decline, and debuted the name "the weave" for his idiosyncratic, digressive speaking style this summer.
However, linguist analysis contradicts Trump's characterization. What actually happens is he thinks of a second, and that makes him think of a third. Then he has to make some off-handed remark. And then usually, he then jumps rather parenthetically back to the first thing. That's not weaving. That's rambling, the verbal equivalent of somebody being extremely drunk.
Critical Perspectives
Trump biographer Timothy O'Brien stated: "What this really reflects is that he is aware of the criticism that he is publicly saying nonlinear, nonsensical word salad, and he is trying to pretend there is a strategy or logic behind it when there isn't."
Senior political correspondent Maggie Haberman noted: "We are used to seeing him have a discursive speaking style, but it has gotten more rambling. It has gotten more incoherent and it's gotten longer."

Based on the web search results, here are specific examples of Trump's data exaggerations and statistics manipulation:
Investment Claims
Trump's own White House website values the "major investment announcements" at "$8.8 trillion," around half the "$17 trillion" and "$18 trillion" numbers Trump used out loud. He started out citing $3 trillion in investments and, four months later, was claiming totals of more than $10 trillion.
An item-by-item CNN review of the top 10 items on the White House's list shows that even the "$8.8 trillion" number is itself a big exaggeration. The White House list includes $600 billion from "EU firms" as an estimate of potential private investment, not an actual commitment, and $1.4 trillion from the UAE—a figure well over double the UAE's 2024 gross domestic product.
Migration Numbers
Trump repeated his false claim that "21 million" migrants were allowed into the country by the Biden administration, "not even including the gotaways" who evaded detection. Through December 2024, the country had recorded under 11 million nationwide "encounters" with migrants during that administration, and even adding in gotaways estimated at roughly 2.2 million, there's no way the total is "21 million". Trump later repeated his false claim that "25 million" migrants entered the country under Biden.
Trade Deficit Claims
Trump repeated his false claim that "it costs us $200 billion a year in subsidy to keep Canada afloat," when official US statistics show the 2024 deficit with Canada was $35.7 billion in goods and services trade and $70.6 billion in goods trade alone.
Vote Count Exaggeration
Trump exaggerated his own vote total in the 2024 election—saying of a federal judge, "He didn't get much more than 80 million votes," when Trump received about 77.3 million votes in 2024.
Historical Pattern
Trump stands alone for the share of rated claims that are some degree of false—about 76% of his statements earned ratings of Mostly False, False or Pants on Fire.

我需要创建 /Users/alchain/Documents/写作/.claude/skills/trump-perspective/references/research/ 目录,然后写入调研文件。

/Users/alchain/Documents/写作/.claude/skills/trump-perspective/references/research/03-expression-dna.md
