Necessary storage and cookieless usage measurement

Necessary cookies and browser preferences support sign-in, security, theme, and accent choices. We also use OpenPanel for cookieless usage measurement. You can turn that measurement off at any time using "Privacy settings" in the footer, and we honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out.

Always on - no consent needed

• Session / sign-in - keeps you logged in and secures requests.
• skillselion-consent - is created only when you save a usage-analytics preference, so the site can remember it.
• Theme & accent preferences - remember your light/dark and accent choice in your browser's local storage.

OpenPanel usage measurement

• Cookieless usage analytics - measures page views, referrer context, outbound links, and product actions through our first-party OpenPanel proxy. The SDK does not set analytics cookies or local-storage identifiers. The service may process page URLs, link text, IP address, user agent, and pseudonymous device/session data. Browser analytics is not linked to your Skillselion account.
• Session measurement flag - skillselion-arrival-sent in session storage prevents the same arrival-context event from firing repeatedly during one browser session. It expires with the session.

OpenPanel is our only analytics tool. We removed Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. If your browser still holds their old cookies from an earlier visit (_ga, _gid, _clck, _clsk and similar), the site deletes them on your next visit. Our CDN, Cloudflare, may also record cookieless page-load performance metrics.

We don't currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If that ever changes, they will appear here as a separate category that is also off until you opt in.

Changing your choice

Use "Privacy settings" in the footer to turn usage analytics on or off at any time. Global Privacy Control also keeps it off. See our Privacy Policy for your broader data rights, or contact info@skillselion.com.
