1Youtube Transcriptyoutube-transcript is a phase-specific agent skill that downloads YouTube video transcripts for solo builders who learn from talks, tutorials, or customer interviews on video. When a user supplies a URL or asks for captions, subtitles, or a transcript, the agent checks for yt-dlp, lists available subtitle tracks, prefers human-written subtitles, falls back to auto-generated captions, and only then offers Whisper-based transcription after confirmation. It saves files to disk, reports the path, and can strip VTT formatting for plain text. Typical uses include Idea-phase competitor teardowns, summarizing founder podcasts for Validate positioning, and feeding Grow content pipelines without manual copy-paste. The skill is procedural Bash automation rather than a hosted API integration, so environment install steps (including Homebrew on macOS) are part of the workflow.551installs
